What You Get:
Once a week group training sessions (45 min each) for 10 months (40 class sessions)
Access to ongoing bonus training videos
Monthly group outings to further skills for you and your dog
Graduation Certificate after completing the 10 month course successfully
You and your dog will complete basic, advanced, PA, and task work skills
 
This program will work on the following basic commands with you and your dog:  loose leash walking, sit and down stay, having your dog come when called, engagement and your dog's focus on the handler, ignoring distractions, preperation for passing the public access test, and 5 core tasks specific to your disability.
 
5 Core Tasks:
Medical Alert - teaching your dog to alert you when you are dizzy or your heart rate is high
DPT - deep pressure therapy to help the handler to calm down from anxiety/panic
Behavior Interruption - the dog is trained to interrupt behaviors such as picking or leg bouncing to make handler aware of lower states of anxiety
Providing an excuse to leave a situation
Blocking and Orbit - the dog helps to provide a barrier between the handler and crowds.
 
We understand that trying to train a Service Dog on your own is hard and stressful.  Trying to do it on a budget or without support can be even harder!  That is why we opened up our Owner Training Program to group training.  Each class will be approximately an hour long and allow time to answer student's questions/concerns, help anyone with problem solving areas of training, go over homework from the previous week, as well as build on new material for you and your dog to practice at home and in public for the week to come.  All classes will be held in Reynoldsburg (address will be given when you have submitted this form) Saturday afternoons unless otherwise notified.
